Festivalatsi Vol 4

A DIY Festival, organized by Cretan Swing Shots in Heraklion, Crete

The 4th Cretan Swing Shots DIY festival in Heraklion, Crete. Cretan Swing Shots is a self-managed dance team in Heraklion, Crete. Founded in 2013, we’re part of a broader community active within the University of Crete campus. Honoring this dance's history means recognizing both the joy and the struggle woven into the movement, and resisting the way commercial culture often strips such art forms of their roots. We work outside the logic of profit, built on shared effort, mutual learning, and open participation. Every year, Cretan Swing Shots tries to deliver a low-cost dance festival to the community of Heraklion, and beyond, by inviting talented dancers from across the world to share their experience and love for the dance with us. This year, we're excited to be joined by Maria Aparisi and Alex Carsi, all the way from Spain! Our festival will offer 3 levels, consisting of 1 Lindy Hop and 1 Authentic Jazz class each
