Welcome to Jorvik, our annual Halloween weekender! We are back with our friendly beginners' and intermediate streams, an new solo stream, spooky socials, and exciting lessons! See you there!
Jorvik 2026! This is a weekend packed with lessons, a live band Halloween-themed social on Saturday, and a weekend packed with three streams of lessons and tasters! New for this year, we're running a solo stream for those of you brave enough to take on the Big Apple in just a weekend! Welcome to Jorvik 2026! This year we have our very own Richard and Kat, and Rob and Tina from Leeds joining us to teach Lindy Hop, and the amazing Sarah is joining us too to teach us the Big Apple routine! Saturday is packed with streamed lessons before the Big Saturday Social! Join your scene with a group costume, or dress in something spooky, ready for our live band social! Sunday is packed with tasters - including an opportunity to try out some new styles - before a community discussion group and then a Tea Dance with home baked goods! We'll be based at the University of York's Campus West, and we're heading over to Millthorpe school hall for the spooky Saturday social on Halloween night!
Programma
We'll be joined by the best of our local teachers and bands, to celebrate our local community! From York Lindy, we will be joined by Richard and Kat, teaching beginners and intermediates, and Sarah teaching the Big Apple in the solo stream! From Swing Dance Leeds, we're joined by Rob and Tina, teaching beginners and intermediates! We'll be dancing all Saturday night to the Blind Tiger Dance Band, a local big band, so join us for a great evening!
